Saved Sections are my secret weapon.
Honestly, theyāre my favourite part of Squarespace.
This feature lets you reuse page sections across your entire site, keeping your layouts consistent (think: visual cues for your visitors so they know what to expect) and saving you heaps of time!
Imagine recreating the same section 10 times across 10 pages, checking your blocks are identical, properly sized, and aligned on both Desktop and Mobile... š±
With Saved Sections, you donāt have to do that. #worksmarternotharder
Hereās how I use them:
To replicate layouts: Create a section once and reuse it across multiple pages. For example, making all hero sections look identical and consistent.
To refresh live pages: Create a new page with the updated section, hit āSave Section,ā and replace the old section without needing to take your site down and miss potential visitors!
I used Saved Sections a lot while building my new website, and honestly, itās a lifesaver.
Hereās how to save a section:
Hover over a page section until a little menu appears.
Click the heart icon (itāll say 'Save Section' when you hover).
Itās now saved for reuse!
And to reuse it:
Hover between page sections until a blue 'Add Section' label pops up.
Click it, then select 'Saved Sections' from the left menu.
Pick the section you want, and itāll drop right into your page!
Pro tip: To manage your Saved Sections library, follow the steps above to add a section, then hover over each preview. You can tick the checkbox to delete sections you no longer need (just remember: Squarespace allows a max of 50 Saved Sections at any time).
If you're on Squarespace, seriously give this a go. Let me know if itās new to you or already your go-to feature!
